She Will Never Be forgotten

Her Spirit Will Never Die

I remember from the start that Lauren had the brightest eyes that could just light up the world. On April 20th 1993 an angel was brought onto this earth, and the baby of the family was born. She had a happiness that she carried around with her and no matter what she could liven up a room. Even from a little girl she would get into everything, we called her are little portague because she was always in everyone’s business. We could never her tell her anything but it was near to impossible for her to keep a secret. If she bought a gift for someone’s birthday or for Christmas she just couldn’t handle it and would end up giving it to them weeks in advance. I always envied her for not having a care what other people thought. She was a free spirit, wacky, and at times a bit of a trouble maker. I kid you not we could go to a restaurant and if she wanted to she would jump up and just breaking it down and start dancing. She definitely tested her waters when she was growing up, but I have to say that she grew up into a very smart young lady. She was an amazing friend, daughter, sister, wife, and mother. If you looked up selfless in the dictionary I’m pretty sure that you would find her picture.
I’m happy to know that she lived such a fulfilling life. She accomplished and did a lot of things in her 105 years of life. She worked at her very first job from high school to a few years in college, believe it or not it was at an auto shop.  She went to college and got her bachelor’s degree for education and went straight into teaching. It was the only thing she ever wanted to do, and we saw her passion for it since day one. She loved what she did, and always said it was one of her greatest accomplishments.
While in college she finally met the love of her life, Justin Zimmerman. They dated for 4 long years before they finally decided to take the plunge and get married, Lauren was 25 and a vision in white. Lauren always made jokes saying “it’s going to be weird going from the front of the alphabet to the end.” Justin’s job moved them to Tennessee, where Lauren finally got her dream home. She got her house on a big piece of land for her to start a family in the country and have some land to play on. Over the years she was blessed with 3 beautiful children Noah, Beau, and Melanie. She raised them in the country like she always wanted to be, they grew up with camping, hunting, and 4 wheelers. Her family meant the world to her, and she was an amazing mother, would have given up her life for them.
She loved to travel and was able to travel all over the world, from Ireland to all over Europe. Following her dreams was always one of her greatest characteristics, she said she wanted to travel the world and she did just that. Ireland was on the top of her list. After her and Justin were empty nesters they got the opportunity to have a little bit of fun. They bought a lake house, boats, and horses; all they wanted to do was have fun.
She might have been a bit on the older side but she never missed a beat. Her youthful spirit never seemed to leave her. She was such a strong woman and lived for a very long time; unfortunately she lost her loving husband now she is reunited with him again. She was dearly loved and she will be terribly missed. Those who knew her will never forget her, she had that trick of making an impression on people. Lauren if you can hear me now, know that we all love you and you will never be forgotten.
