Volunteer hours
I volunteered at a carnival for an elementary school at a concession stand, and I have to say I noticed a difference in the devleopment of children. The kids that were a bit younger, their parents had to ask them what they wanted and they either said yes or no, the older children closer to the 4th and 5th years of elementary school had no problem in voicing to their parents what they wanted. Some children didn't even come up with their parents at all, they came up and right away knew what they wanted. Watching the children was so much fun. The parents of the younger children help them by teaching them how to say please and thank you which I thought was really cute. As children get older they know more of what they want then just giving the options of what they can have.
I love children and I always have for some reason, so helping out at this event was so much fun, and it was a good way to spend a Saturday. I the kids were funny and polite and they sure did love Cotton Candy, lol. It was a great day over all
